Back to the Future
The Youth Makerspace Larnaka of the Cyprus Youth Organization presents the new series of educational workshops “Back to the Future,” a unique initiative designed to introduce young people to traditional arts and techniques!
Through hands-on workshops led by experienced instructors, participants will discover how to apply skills and methods creatively across various themes, such as engraving, ceramics, woodturning, weaving, silversmithing, and caning. The hands-on “Back to the Future” experience aims to provide young individuals with the opportunity to experiment with tools, their own hands, and equipment provided by the space, allowing them to apply traditional craftsmanship knowledge. The goal of these workshops is not only personal development and skill acquisition but also the preservation of our cultural heritage.
Once again, Youth Makerspace serves as a meeting point between amateurs and professionals, promoting knowledge transfer across generations as young and experienced artisans exchange expertise and experiences. Through this process of interaction and experiential learning, artisans will be able to share not only their methods but also the aesthetics, inspiration, and significance of each craft in today’s world.
Register HERE and join us in discovering the past, experimenting with the present, and creating the future!
