The technology and creativity festival “Makers Fair 2024” was held with great success on Sunday, 2nd of June!
For the second consecutive year we celebrated technology, creativity and inspiration in the center of Larnaka, bringing together creators and makers, promoting innovation and encouraging experimentation and construction. “Makers Fair” is now an established festival, strengthening the vision of Youth Makerspace Larnaka by promoting the fields of STEAM, digital skills, innovation, design and creativity in the local community.
The event was supported by the active presence of organizations, companies and agencies, as well as amateur and professional makers, who presented their interactive works and projects in the technology booths. Throughout the festival, a series of workshops were held with the aim of introducing the public to the technological equipment available at the venue, as well as various aspects of making and the STEAM sector, around robotics, clay workshop, the laser cutter, the lathe , planting with automatic mechanisms, science experiments, scouting skills as well as carpentry activities. Visitors met, exchanged ideas and knowledge with participants, took part in inspiring talks and discussions from professionals and experts and enjoyed street food, drinks, sweets and music.
