YOUNG MAKERS SUMMER WORKSHOPS
Young Makers Summer Workshops
The “Young Makers Summer Workshops” by the Youth Makerspace Larnaka of the Cyprus Youth Organization are returning in July 2025 for the third consecutive year!
This summer initiative is aimed at students aged 8–16 and focuses on personal development and the acquisition of skills that will help participants explore new technologies and scientific fields they might not have the opportunity to discover at school. During the weeks of participation, they will engage with the S.T.E.A.M. field and will be challenged to solve a “problem” by creating their own original prototype.
The “Young Makers Summer Workshops” will take place in July and August over four weeks, from July 7th to August 1st, 2025 (Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 13:30).
The workshops for ages 8–11 will be held from July 7th to July 11th (Monday to Friday) for one week, from 08:30 – 13:30. The workshops for ages 12–16 will take place from July 14th to August 1st (Monday to Friday) for three weeks, from 08:30 – 13:30.
The goal of the “Young Makers Summer Workshops” is to teach 21st-century skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity through technological workshops and activities related to the S.T.E.A.M. field, including 3D printing, laser cutting, Virtual Reality, Arduino, Robotics, Design Thinking, Problem Solving, and more.
