The Photo Competition “Our Sea” aims at promoting young people’s talent in photography, through capturing moments and images that are related to the sea. Young participants will have the opportunity to explore Cyprus, discover its coastal areas and come closer to the sea.

Information and participation rules:
Eligible participants should be Cyprus residents aged 15-40 years old.
Professional photographers are not allowed to take part in the competition.
Participants may submit coloured or black and white photos, underwater or overwater photos.
Each participant may submit up to three photographs, out of which only one may be awarded.
Photographs should be submitted in high resolution to [email protected].
In the body of the email participants should write their name, phone number, date of birth and the title of the photograph. The Subject of the email should be Photo Competition. Submissions without the above details will not be eligible.
The participant should be the creator of the photography and own the intellectual property rights.
In case of a portrait or a closeup of a vessel, the photographer should have a written consent of the photographed person or the owner of the vessel that appears in the photo, following GDPR.
By submitting their photos, participants consent to the use of the photos by YBC at exhibitions, websites, albums or posters.
Photos that have been awarded or published through other competitions are not eligible.
The jury will be appointed by the Youth Board of Cyprus and other EMD participating bodies.
The competition results will be announced on the closing event.
The photo that will receive the highest points will receive the prize of €300, the second prize will be €200 and the third prize €100.
The photos will be displayed at a pubic photo exhibition on Foinikoudes Beach on 17-21 June 2021.
Covid-19 related restrictions do affect the competition process, as the photos shall be submitted electronically.
