Additionally, it offers educational workshops on the equipment and associated programs, as well as STEAM-based educational programs aimed at organized groups of children and youth, schools, educational institutions, and events. Finally, the space is available for professionals and amateurs for study, work, or meetings.

The program aims at children and youth, amateur and professional makers, educational institutions, schools, and other organized groups.

Users under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parental/guardian supervision is recommended for all minors, as the space contains dangerous tools and sensitive equipment. For the outdoor woodworking workshop and the laser cutter, users must be over 18 years old or accompanied by a parent or guardian.
What is the Mobile Makerspace?
The Mobile Makerspace is the mobile unit of Youth Makerspace Larnaka, now an integral part of the program that brings technology and the STEAM field closer to organizations, organized groups, educational institutions, and schools. Through the Mobile Makerspace, educational workshops and tours of the mobile unit are offered, showcasing the technologies it has. Its purpose is to reach children and youth who live far from urban centres, with less access to technologies and innovative programs.

As a program of the Youth Board of Cyprus, all services offered by Youth Makerspace Larnaka, as well as the use of equipment, are free of charge. However, makers are encouraged to bring their own materials for the use of the laser cutter, the woodworking workshop in its entirety, as well as the 3D printer equipment.
What materials should I bring?
For the laser cutter, we recommend materials such as wood, plexiglass plastic, paper or cardboard, fabric, and leather, with a thickness of 3-8mm. For 3D printing, for constructions of 200g and above, we recommend PLA filament.
Can I order anything for payment?
No, we do not accept orders. This would contradict the operation mode of Youth Makerspace Larnaka, which advocates the Do It Yourself (DIY) culture and the development of maker skills. Instead, you can learn how to implement your idea by visiting the space and experimenting with the program’s equipment, with staff guidance.
Why should I become a member?
All makers entering Youth Makerspace Larnaka are required to complete the membership application to access all areas and use the equipment.
