Young Makers Summer Workshops 2026

Youth Makerspace Larnaka is bringing back its summer workshop series for young people under the title “Young Makers Summer Workshops”. The programme returns for its fourth consecutive year and will be organised in four workshop periods throughout July 2026, operating daily from 08:30 to 13:00. These educational and creative summer workshops are designed for children and young people aged 8–17 and are divided into two thematic programmes taking place during July.

The first programme cycle, taking place from 6–10 July, is designed for children aged 8–11 years old (primary school students) and will be repeated from 20–24 July (third cycle) to accommodate more participants. Under the theme “Travelling Around the World”, children will explore different countries and continents through daily hands-on activities, discovering cultures and places around the globe using the technological tools and equipment available at Youth Makerspace Larnaka.

The second programme cycle, taking place from 13–16 July, is designed for young people aged 12–17 years old (secondary school students) and will also be repeated from 27–31 July (fourth cycle) to give more participants the opportunity to take part. This programme focuses on STEAM education, offering participants practical exposure to the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. Throughout the week, participants will meet five professionals working in STEAM-related fields and gain insights into their careers. Through hands-on projects and creative activities using our technological equipment, we aim to inspire young people and bring them closer to STEAM professions.

*Please note that workshop places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration does not automatically guarantee a place, as all participants will be contacted by phone to confirm their registration.

The aim of the Young Makers Summer Workshops is to develop essential 21st-century skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, critical thinking and creativity through technology-based workshops and activities related to the STEAM field, including 3D Printing, Laser Cutting, Virtual Reality, Robotics, Design Thinking, Problem Solving, and more.
